Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Movie News Bits

Here are bits & pieces news for the most-awaited movie from 20th Century Fox, Ice Age 3:  Dawn of the Dinosaurs.  Let's start with well-loved Ellie the Mammoth, who was voiced-over by no other than Queen Latifah.  PR News Wire reports from Los Angeles:
"Hip-hop's first lady, Queen Latifah, is adding a touch of class to the post-festivities of the BET AWARDS '09 by hosting the My Black Is Beautiful Post Show at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, June 28 at 11:00 PM.  Oscar-nominated, Golden Globe and SAG-winning actress, Grammy Award winning-singer and Hip Hop pioneer Queen Latifah has wowed us since her early days of rapping. The world-renowned Cover Girl cosmetics spokeswoman is set to release her highly anticipated new album titled "Persona" which includes her recent single "Cue the Rain" on July 7. Queen Latifah will also star in 20th Century Fox's "Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," due in theatres on July 1."
And now, news from Alberta, Canada.  Movie House grows to five screens.  Hal Wolf, co-owner of the Cochrane Movie House expands the theater from two screens to five to accomodate more box-office movies.  Along this expansion is the upgrade to play 3-D movies.  Cochrane Times reports:
"He [Hal Wolf] now believes he will be giving Cochrane residents more reasons to stay local, even if Cochrane will be “over-screened.” Wolf said the theatre industry has a general rule that one movie screen is adequate for about 10,000 people, so he will have more screens than may be necessary, but he is confident that there is a need in Cochrane. Once completed, the theatre will double its current seating plan to approximately 300.
As part of the expansion, Wolf is also retrofitting one of his current theatres to play 3-D movies, the first of which will be Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, which will be released in July.
Wolf said more screens would allow him to play additional box-office movies, as well as playing different movies and try additional promotions that he was unable to do in the past."
So there you go...  three more weeks and the sub-zero heroes will rock the cinemas again.  But before I go, better view the movie synopsis and movie trailers A & trailer B for a head on!
