3-D cardboard glasses for Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs movie

The Next Ice Age in 3-D..Maybe Not!
Written by: Ross Becker

It will always be an added thrill if we will use the 3-D cardboard glasses when watching Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. But If I'm going to pay extra for that as Ross Becker guessed on his report, I'll better think again.
The largest theater chain in the country is in a classic battle with a major movie studio over those $1 cardboard 3-D glasses. When the new "Ice Age-Dawn of the Dinosaurs" movie opens in July, either you or the theater may have to pay for the glasses. Up until now, the movie studio has provided millions of those flimsy eyeglasses to theaters just to make sure the theaters agreed to show the movie. Now that may be ending.

The studios are telling the theater owners they are on their own.

The battle is on. Who will pay? In the end, you will pay when you buy a ticket. I guess in a way, you already are.

I wish I had saved those cardboard glasses I got at the movies when I was a kid. They might be worth something. It looks like when we go to the snack bar for overpriced popcorn and soda or Raisinettes, we will also have to lay down an extra buck for some 3-D glasses. Just don't use them to drive home.
