Simon Pegg to voice Buck in Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Simon Pegg has joined the cast of the next Ice Age movie, Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Pegg will voice the latest addition to the franchise - Buck, a larger than life, swashbuckling one eyed weasel who helps Manny and the group navigate the world of the dinosaurs. Buck used to live above ground but accidentally fell into the mysterious land beneath the Ice Age where he had a terrifying encounter with an albino Baryonyx dinosaur named Rudy. In the fight, Buck lost an eye but took Rudy's tooth, which he now carries with him. Since that moment, like Moby Dick's Captain Ahab, Buck has lived on his own and has devoted his life to seeking his revenge on Rudy.


Simon Pegg said of his latest role; "It's been a blast bringing Buck to life. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two films, so it was a real treat to become part of the Ice Age family in , Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs What's more I get to be in 3D!"

He's also known for his starring roles in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Run, Fatboy, Run, and for the comedy series Spaced. Much of his major work has been in collaboration with some combination of Nick Frost, Jessica Hynes, Dylan Moran and Edgar Wright. Pegg has a close friendship with American actor David Schwimmer. The two have worked together in Band of Brothers, Big Nothing and Run, Fat Boy, Run. His likeness was also used for the character of Wee Hughie in the comic book series The Boys; while this was done without Pegg's permission, he quickly became a fan of the title, and even wrote the introduction to the first bound volume.  You will also see him as Scotty in upcoming "Star trek".  other projects that will soon hit the silverscreen are "The Adventures of Tintin" and "Paul".
